The SEP online application is simple and easy to use. Events that do not require police or LCRB approvals are approved instantly.

Applying for your Wedding SEP:
The BC liquor board has their Wedding Planning Guide to help with quantities and other valuable information.
A few key details to make note of:
- Make sure to apply 6 weeks before your event date. This will allow for plenty of time for the application process and any reviews, or re-submissions if needed.
- You will need your Serving it Right number. (When discussing your event with us, please ask us about this.)
- The applicant is usually someone who will be attending the celebration, not drinking, and remaining there for the majority of the duration.

Applying for your Business Event SEP:
- Make sure to apply about 6 weeks before your event date. This will allow for plenty of time for the application process and any reviews, or re-submissions if needed.
- You will need your Serving it Right number. (When discussing your event with us, please ask about this.)
- For after-hour business events hosting only staff members and other guests by invite, you do not need a SEP.
- For events that are during regular business hours, you do need a SEP.
- You also need a SEP if you are holding an event where the public can purchase tickets to attend.
